and headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. We buy office, industrial, multifamily rental and retail properties for long‐term retention, and management.

The Opportunity

At Low Tide Properties we are incredibly driven and passionate about the opportunities to create a positive impact in the communities we invest in. We currently own and manage over 45 properties in the City of Vancouver and Seattle including office, retail, industrial and multifamily. Due to our continued growth we are looking for a Director of Asset Management.

Reporting to the Vice President of Asset and Property Management, the successful candidate will be responsible for the financial and operational performance of Low Tide’s properties in Vancouver and Seattle. Working collaboratively with a great team, you will play a key role in finding creative opportunities to increase asset value for the assets under his/her oversight. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing multifamily residential, office and light industrial properties. This candidate will be responsible for preparing annual asset plans, reviewing monthly operating statements, mentoring and supervising a team of motivated property management professionals

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Vice President of Asset and Property Management, Property Managers and the Building Operations team to ensure best in class service to Low Tide’s tenants and stakeholders;
  • Provide leadership direction on investment metrics which contribute to company goals including NOI, occupancy, and capital planning;
  • Support the development and execution of the asset plans for assigned portfolio;
  • Complete review of financial reporting and provide written commentary on a monthly and quarterly basis;
  • Working with the Property Management team, engage third party service providers as required to assess, forecast, design and implement capital projects;
  • Review and approve annual operating budgets and capital plans;
  • Prepare leasing and marketing plans for assigned portfolio;
  • Provide direction to third party property managers as required;
  • Liaise with Property Manager (“PM”) regarding operational issues such as building performance, monthly operating budget/actual comparisons, tenant issues, repairs and maintenance, problems, improvements, etc.;
  • Develop and coach the property management team to ensure an understanding of key deliverables;


  • 8 ‐ 10 years progressive work experience in a similar role in Canada and the US;
  • Be viewed as exhibiting the highest level of integrity, professional and ethics;
  • Excellent leadership and people skills;
  • Possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments in a dynamic work environment;
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint as well as familiarity with property management accounting and tenant service applications
  • A passion for outstanding customer service
  • A university degree in business or related field is required
  • Active participation in industry groups
  • A willingness to work with a team of motivated, enthusiastic, collaborative real estate professionals
