Game Days is a free outdoor watch party series in South Flats, celebrating the opening weeks of this summer's international soccer tournament. Catch matches on the big screen at 1155 East 6th Avenue, just minutes from downtown Vancouver.

Across seven event days from June 11 to June 21, attendees can watch multiple matches per day alongside food from local trucks, drinks from a fully licensed bar, live music, coffee service, and family-friendly programming.

Admission is free, but capacity is limited. Guests are asked to reserve a free ticket in advance for the specific matches they want to catch. Please note that tickets secure entry to the event but do not reserve a specific seat. All seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Onsite Highlights

Kids Zone

Game Days is built for fans of every age! On select days, kids can enjoy a packed lineup of activations including a soccer-themed bounce castle, face painting (Saturdays and Sundays), and the Real Sport XP soccer cage, where participants can test the speed of their kicks and try their hand at passing and scoring with live announcer commentary.

Live Music & DJ Sets 

Between matches, the site comes alive with live music and DJ sets curated to keep the energy up all day long. From evening bands on Fridays to weekend DJ rotations, there's a soundtrack for every part of the day.

Beer Garden

The Game Days site is fully licensed, with a bar pouring local beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options throughout the day.
Bar service opens shortly after doors open and runs through the final match.

Valid government-issued ID required. Please drink responsibly.


Food Trucks 

A rotating lineup of Vancouver favourites will be onsite throughout Game Days. JAPADOG and Little Ooties will be serving both weekends. Weekend 1 will also feature Shameless Buns, while Weekend 2 will include Stackers Burgers.


Coffee Partner 

On our early-open days, we are partnering with Kafka's Coffee to keep fans caffeinated from kickoff. Stop by the coffee bar for drip coffee, and a rotating selection of fresh pastries.

Getting to Game Days

Game Days at The Flats is located at 1155 East 6th Avenue and is easy to reach by transit, bike, rideshare, or car.

SkyTrain

VCC-Clark Station is a short walk away. Follow the onsite signage to Game Days.

Bus

The #84 bus stops minutes away, with direct connections across Metro Vancouver.

Rideshare

Drop off at 1980 Foley Street, a 5-minute walk to the entrance.

Parking

Parking is available at 565 Great Northern Way, a 10-minute walk to the site.

Cycling

Bike racks are available on site, with nearby connections to the Central Valley Greenway.

Complimentary Shuttle Service

Runs between 565 Great Northern Way and the Game Days site. Look for the flags onsite (at Carolina Avenue) for more information.

FAQs

Is the event free?

Yes! Game Days is a free, community watch party series. While entry is free, we require guests to reserve your free tickets in advance here. Please note that a ticket does not guarantee seating. Seating is first come, first served. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Do I need a ticket to attend the event?

For popular games, securing a ticket is highly encouraged. Tickets guarantee entry up to 15 minutes after kickoff. A standby line will be available, but capacity is limited and entry is not guaranteed.

What is my ticket valid for?
Your ticket is valid for the specific game you booked. If you'd like to stay for any games that follow, please purchase an additional ticket.
Your ticket guarantees entry up to 15 minutes after kickoff, if you arrive after that time, you'll need to join the standby line. Guests without a valid ticket for the current match may be asked to leave the venue to accommodate ticket holders. Guests with valid tickets may also be asked to move between matches to accommodate larger groups.

Standby entry may be available 15 minutes after kick-off, subject to capacity.

When and where is Game Days?

June 11–13 and June 18–21, 2026 at 1155 East 6th Avenue in South Flats. The site opens one hour before the first match and closes one hour after the final match.

Is the event family-friendly?

Absolutely. Game Days is designed for all ages, with family-friendly programming throughout both weekends.

What happens if it rains?

The event space is tented, so the fun goes on rain or shine. Match viewings will continue regardless of the weather.

Can I bring outside food or drinks?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Please note that outside alcohol is not permitted.

What is South Flats?

South Flats is Vancouver’s emerging creative district. It is a walkable, mixed-use neighbourhood just minutes from downtown that brings together local businesses, creative groups, innovative companies, and community spaces.
