Meet Heather, the HR Generalist at Low Tide. Since

Meet Heather, the HR Generalist at Low Tide. Since joining the team earlier this year, Heather has been providing comprehensive HR support, from recruitment to our annual engagement survey. She also leads new hires through our “Being a Goal Setter” onboarding program. Get to know Heather and her role below!

What do you love about your role at Low Tide?

“I get to be involved in a variety of tasks from employee engagement to training and development to recruitment. That probably sounds as exciting as watching paint dry for some, but it’s fun stuff for someone in HR!”

Can you tell us about a current project you are working on?

“We recently introduced the Lunch Lottery which staff seem to be excited about. This provides an opportunity for relationship building between employees who may not get the chance to interact with specific departments on a daily basis.”

What do you like to do in your spare time?

“Aside from spending time with my loved ones, I love exploring different cuisines and trying out new restaurants. When I’m not doing that, I’m either busy watching a food documentary or experimenting with new recipes.”

Join us for Meet Me in Gastown on Thursday, August 15th, from 4 to 8 PM. This vibrant community celebration will feature a street food festival with participating Gastown restaurants, shopping, and live music. Don’t miss the captivating performance by the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra at the Maple Tree Square Stage. We’ll meet you there!

We are excited to announce the third annual Meet Me in Gastown! Join us on Thursday, August 15th, from 4 to 8 PM to celebrate Gastown. 
- From 4 to 6 PM, enjoy performances by local talent at the Maple Tree Square Stage. Experience the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra from 6 to 8 PM.
- Indulge in a street food festival featuring culinary delights from participating Gastown restaurants.
- Enjoy beverages and bites at Monarca or Guilt & Co.’s cocktail patio in Carrall St. Alley. (P.S. We heard these businesses will be hosting an after-party celebration!)
- Explore Gastown and stop in at your favourite Gastown businesses!
