Great Place to Work

It’s official! Low Tide has been certified as a Great Place to Work®.

This certification is based on direct feedback from our team, provided as part of an extensive and anonymous survey about their workplace experience.

Here is what our team had to say:

  • They can be themselves at work.
  • We have a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
  • We are collaborative.
  • We care for our people as individuals.
  • We support our team through professional development.
  • We show appreciation to our team.

Creating a great place to work boosts employee happiness, fuels their productivity, and ultimately sets the stage for a successful and fulfilling career journey. How does Low Tide go about supporting a Great Place to Work?

1) People management takes center stage. We have regular check ins with each member of our team, feedback is provided in a timely way, and each employee has a training and career development plan.

2) Leadership knows no boundaries here. Our whole team takes part in our leadership program; we know that everyone, regardless of their position, can be a leader. From our annual leadership conference, to our goal setting program, to various other learning opportunities throughout the year, there are plenty of ways for our team to stretch their leadership muscle at Low Tide.

3) Fun is not just a word; it’s one of our core values. We believe that social activities are a key part of having fun. Connecting with each other socially also helps build relationships that makes the work easier and more productive. In addition to a regular cadence of lunches and workouts, we organize several fun activities throughout the year. Whether it’s kayaking in Deep Cove, pasta-making at The Flourist, or creating floral arrangements at a Blossom and Vine workshop, there’s something for everyone in our social programming!
