Summer Internship Recap 2025

This summer, Low Tide welcomed five interns to the team! From building operations to property management, marketing, and finance, each intern had the chance to dive into meaningful projects, learn new skills, and work alongside our teams. Their contributions made a real impact, and we’re excited to share highlights from their experiences in their own words.

Lilia Zehtab – Property Management Intern

Q: What is something you learned while working with the Property Management team?
Throughout this summer internship, I learned the importance of teamwork and collaboration. While each Property Manager is responsible for their own portfolio, the team is always ready to step in, share their knowledge, and offer support to ensure not only their own properties succeed, but that everyone’s portfolio is successful.

Q: What was your favourite part of your internship?
My favourite part of the internship was experiencing the unique character of Low Tide’s properties firsthand. Each building has its own personality, challenges, and community, and I enjoyed seeing how the team tailors their approach to bring out the best in each one. It gave me a deeper appreciation for the care that go into managing such a diverse portfolio.

Bryce White – Finance Intern

Q: What is a project you worked on this summer?

This summer, I had the opportunity to assist in the disposition of two of Low Tide’s multifamily assets. I was responsible for creating valuation materials, compiling due diligence documents, and communicating with brokers to ensure they had what they needed throughout the process. It was a great chance to see how different teams across the company work together to move a deal forward.

Q: What was your favourite part of your internship?

Getting to experience so many different sides of real estate! From building financial models to property tours, meetings with brokers, and presenting to senior management, there was always something new to learn. I also enjoyed seeing how my work helped create value for the company and knowing that my contributions made a real difference. The team was incredibly welcoming and always willing to share their knowledge, which made the experience even better.

Sophia Zhang – Event Intern

Q: What was the intern group project this year, and how was your experience working on it?
Our group project was creating a corporate culture video for Low Tide’s website that represents the company. I had the opportunity to collaborate with a creative team and a talented videographer, which was an incredible experience. Bringing our vision to life and carefully working through every detail made all the effort completely worth it. It’s an experience I’ll carry with me moving forward!

Q: What was your favourite part of your internship?
My favourite part of the internship was getting hands-on experience in the world of marketing. It was amazing to see concepts I learned in university come to life and to understand the cause and effect behind marketing decisions. From outreach, analytics, posting and reporting, I had the opportunity to learn a bit of everything here.

Will Chin – Building Operations Intern

Q: What does a day in the life look like as a Building Operations intern?

A typical day involves moving between properties, meeting with contractors to ensure they are set up for success and completing routine inspections of building systems such as water entry and electrical rooms.

Q: What was your favourite part of your internship?

My favorite part of my internship was learning about all the different components that make up a building. I got to explore a bit of everything, from HVAC systems to plumbing. Another highlight was meeting and engaging with all the building operators. I was able to learn what they do on a day-to-day basis, and I must say, it’s not as easy as it seems. My internship gave me a newfound appreciation for the role that Building Operators play, and I’m thankful I had the opportunity to learn about it.

Maddie Eaves – Seattle Marketing Intern

Q: What is a project you worked on this summer?

My favorite project this summer was coordinating events at our Seattle properties, especially hosting a networking event with the Kirkland Chamber of Commerce at Vela. It was exciting to see our tenants connect with local business owners and build valuable relationships within the community. Overall, working with and getting to know both our residential and retail tenants was incredibly rewarding.

Q: What was your favorite part of your internship?

My favorite part of my Marketing internship at Low Tide was gaining hands-on experience in social media management, design, and tenant relations. Learning from so many driven and hardworking professionals was truly inspiring, and the internship far exceeded my expectations. I was surrounded by curious, welcoming, and enthusiastic people, which made the entire experience even more fun.

From exploring the technical systems that keep our buildings running, to working on transactions, marketing initiatives, and property management, our interns played an important role at Low Tide this summer. We’re proud of the work they accomplished and look forward to seeing the paths they take in their careers!
